ADRA has completed the installation of 12 solar-powered water pumps across remote villages in southern Madagascar. These pumps now provide clean drinking water to over 8,000 people who previously relied on seasonal rain collection and unsafe surface water. In addition to infrastructure, the project trained 30 local health workers on sanitation practices and waterborne disease prevention.
“This water is changing everything—our children are healthier, and women no longer walk hours to fetch water,” says Rasoanirina, a community leader in Marovato.
